2019 Outing and Report

The 77th outing of the Loreto Golf Society, kindly sponsored by Sports Surgery Clinic Santry, was held in Hermitage Golf Club on Friday the 10th of May 2019
The weather was mixed with sunshine and showers but over 72 players from 13 different Loreto Schools seemed to enjoy the golf immensely. It is a treat to pay Hermitage golf course at any time but particularly in May when the course is at its best.
The golf was followed by a lovely meal and prize giving. Carol Ann Byrne was the overall winner on the day and once again Beaufort was the winning school.
We were delighted to have the support of Edel Lockhart (President of the Loreto Past Pupils Union) on the night and of course our thanks to the LPPU for presenting the gross prize once again this year.
Bronwyn O'Donnell organised a terrific raffle on the night which raised over 900 Euro the proceeds of which will be split between the LPPU and Loreto Rumbek in Sudan.
Sincere thanks to the hardworking committee who ensure this outing happens year after year especially Ann Murray, Bronwyn O'Donnell, Mary O'Gorman, Fiana Holland and Stephanie Graham.
Gillian Dawson (Loreto Foxrock) will take over as Captain of next year's outing and I hope she enjoys it as much as I did.
